Basic Training Combo (12-pole training & regulation)
"Six of one ... a half dozen of the other!" That expression usually means exactly the same for the whole dozen, and here we have some differences, but when they're all connected and inline, it's a regulation 12-pole set!
The Combo is a perfect starter package for two of the most popular training methods: channel and 2x2. Our 2-pole Competition units are the highest quality 6-pole regulation equipment available. The other half -- an ALL-WAYS 6-pole base with standard (upright) sliders -- has been approved by AKC reps and used in actual trials. It's the perfect combination if you're not sure where to start, or if your classes use different styles of training.
Removable weights can be added beneath bases. Especially designed
for indoor venues, where they also help secure bases to surface (e.g., matting, turf) with double-sided tape. Also work well outdoors. For maximum stability, check out the weighting options on our Weighted Bases page. Future expansion possibilities:
Add 6 WAM sliders so you can also do angled pole training. Traditional WAMs help with footwork and timing. Inverted 'V' WAMs help focus dogs down and forward.
Purchase another Basic Training Combo set and you'll have 2 full sets: one for training and one for competition.
