Sliding pole supports (or 'sliders' as we call them) come in 2 types: standard and WAM. There are good reasons to make both types available for your training purposes. If you intend to do mainly channel or 2x2 training, choose the standard slider. Its simple design provides the most robustness. If you also want to use angled poles (in addition to straight up) choose the WAM slider. Both slider styles work with ALL-WAYS bases as well as with our first generation products (EZ Channel and Porta Channel).
The standard slider is designed for channel or 2x2 training, so its pole support is rigid and vertical.
The WAM slider is truly versatile! It can be angled like a Weave-A-Matic and it slides like a channel. The poles rotate thru 180 degrees. Use it for traditional WAM training (V-shaped path) or slide out the sliders and make an inverted V (to focus the dog's attention down and forward).
Both standard and WAM sliders can be staked and/or locked inline (with stainless steel set screws). They 'ride' smoothly in a groove (in the sides of the support leg) just above the ground. When they're inline, they meet regulation equipment specifications for all major agility organizations, including AKC, USDAA, NADAC, and others.
Standard and WAM sliders are easy to nudge in and out along the side support legs. Use them with ALL-WAYS bases as well as with our first generation products (EZ Channel and Porta Channel).
